Most people like using big affiliate networks such as Clickbank, but I like finding products in smaller affiliate networks.
Why?
Because there’s less competition. That way, you Squidoo lens can get ranked easily without much SEO. The more you can connect with your reader and describe the emotions and issues they are experiencing, the more they are likely to buy when you recommend your affiliate product.
To understand why presells work so effectively, think about this: Where would you rather eat at- a restaurant your best friend recommends to you, or a restaurant that called you up and try to sell themselves to you.
It’s mind-blowing how high your conversion rate can be when you write a good presell. Many times, your prospects don’t even need to see their sales letter before taking out their credit card and buying your recommended product.
You want to stick your affiliate link in your article a 3-4 times through out your lens. The best way to do this is to write your link as a call to action rather than a contextual link.
Once you finish your presell article and added your affiliate links, you’re almost done. You can include additional widgets, such the Amazon recommendation widget to increase your profits even more.
